The location was the Dress Circle Bar which was quite spacious so we were able to frame Marina next to the grand piano and set a back light against the red curtain to create some depth and contrast.
Because HDV (High Definition) is so well-equipped to handle low-lighting conditions we found we needed to bounce the 500W Rifa light off the ceiling as to not 'blow-out' the shot.
This and a combination of gels on the key, fill and back lights allowed us to keep the lighting soft for the look we wanted.
